Hi folks - we're a small company just under 100 people almost evenly split between employees and consultants across North America and APAC. We're looking to implement a new HR system that we can start to leverage for onboarding, comp & benefits, payroll (pay slips/tax), reporting capabilities etc. Any recommendations? Thanks in advance! :)
Anyone recommend a free perks program for employees with reputable names (health clubs, etc.)?
I’m interested in furthering my career and I’m considering studying for the PHR or SHRM-CP exam. For those of you who are certified, do you have any advice and recommendations on which one you think might be better?
How would you communicate the involuntary termination of a team member at a startup? Typically, I handle these communications by having the manager have an informative session immediately after the termination to the employee's direct team and the news rapidly spread. However, as this is such a small team it may cause confusion and concerns for the team that stays. I feel like there isn't an "ideal" way to communicate involuntary terminations, but happy to hear your advice
How do you communicate with employees who don't want to wear masks? Unbelievable to me people still have issues grasping this need.
Canadian professional (B. Ed, M.A, Ed D * Candidate) looking to move to USA to work in a college or university. I'd need a sponsor. Bring a wealth of experience. Does anyone have a lead? Thought? Hint??
Hey everyone - from an EEO audit perspective, I’m not sure how to classify our Solutions Consulting (pre sales), Customer Success, and Partnerships teams. All are commissioned employees so my gut says Sales Workers but they aren’t direct sales so that part thinks Professional. What are your thoughts?
Hello Everyone! Had a discussion yesterday regarding “claw backs” being included in a policy for sponsorship if the new employee leaves before 3 years. It was a declining percentage over a three year period. My POV was that it wasn’t something I’ve ever done and didn’t seem like they were sure of the hire they were making. I get wanting to save costs but at the same time doesn’t feel inclusive or welcoming. Thoughts? Have you done this or seen it work? Thanks!
I'm looking to get into management and I wanted to get an idea of what the average pay is for a software sales manager. I know it varies at level but possibly a mid market/enterprise level manager
I recently started at a larger software company as an AE. As I’m getting more into the process, I’m finding things odd. Like, cold calls and emails are metrics I’m judged on more than closed won business. I know that’s part of the job but it seems strange I’m judged on it so heavily. And, I seem to be the first real outside AE hire as everyone else seems to have been promoted up from SDR roles, including all of my direct management. I’m questioning if I made the right move. Stick it out or look?
I’m taking the SPHR in less than 2 months and haven’t started studying for it. How difficult is it? I’ve been in HR for 20 years and have experienced ALOT in that time, although there are always employee relations scenarios that surprise me! How much do I really need to study for this? I just can’t seem to motivate myself to do it, I’m so mentally burnt out at the end of the day from a high stress HR job, the last thing I feel like doing is studying HR!
The struggle is real...
What are the key components of your company’s Code of Conduct? Anything you wish was included but is not?
Anybody have experience with DoD sales? Would love to hear how you establish and grow your business.
Hi All I am a Key Account manager at a company that manufactures and sells PPE. I moved to London a year ago and have built up a great pipeline and grown the company I work for exponentially. I am looking to move into SaaS sales or into the general tech scene in London as there is more room for growth and earning. My question is , how do I go about making the move into software or tech when all jobs require experience in SaaS. Do I have to take a step back in my career back to SDR or AE?
I am in interested in a role in the HCM practice at PwC or an HR role within IFS. I would appreciate a referral or just to learn more about your experience. Thank you! 😊

Anyone ever get upgraded on an international flight booked on points with delta? If so, any tips of making it happen?
Does anyone have any experience with BCG Platinion Risk Consultant case study interviews? This is my first time doing a case study interview and I'm currently trying to prepare, but most case studies I have found online are more in management consulting. Thanks!
As a consultant on C2C, is it best benefits, taxes and legal-wise to setup my business as an LLC or S-Corp?
Let's talk MBA's - how valuable are they in the industry for career progress, and is there a point where they become less valuable or noticeable? I've personally never felt motivated to get one as I figured working my career hard would bring success. Now that I've climbed to VP level (and I'm considering a transition from agency to brand side, eventually) I'm wondering if there's a reason to get an MBA or not.
When a role says “Remote, LOCATION” on the job description, must you live in that LOCATION and work remotely or does it mean that your home office will be that LOCATION?
Help! My husband and have a blended family and different views on CVD. I am vaccinated and my son tested positive a few days ago and has been sick. He's currently quarantined however my husbands HS son has been sick for 2 weeks and have completely disregarded all CDC protocol or school guidelines. I'm surprised his school has not sent him home. They work, play, anything they want. I am so angry and upset I am not sure what to do. I teach in another district but feel like I need to do something.
How are internal roles treated at Bain? Also, any ideas for compensation? Role is building out analytics platform. I am interested in the work but I’ve barely started out of undergrad. However i would jump for better comp 🤷♀️
Working on a tech team with only men?? I’m a new hire as of last year and I’ve wanted to work in consulting or tech snd I got my dream job being able to do both. Im realizing now that I don’t like this specific position nor do I like my team. They are all older (40+) men and many are from other countries. It’s hard enough on boarding online and adding miscommunication being online, only men team, not knowing the culture, etc. how do I feel with this in the best way? Or anyone else deal with this
Does it make sense to boomerang back to big 4 just to brand my resume for exit ops in moving to industry in the future? I’m two years away from manager and my plan is to leave public once I make manager. My thoughts are exit opps will be greater if I leave from a big 4 AAS group rather than leaving from my current middle market firm, but does it really matter leaving from a middle market vs big 4?
Would you leave a big 4 for a smaller firm that offered you a 70k increase in base salary and 10k sign on bonus?
Stories of people transitioning into sports management? Interested in hearing strategies to break in after mba and consulting
Got an interview with McKinsey for Associate position. Currently reading Case in Point and will try the online week case course. Any advice on what to focus on? I have a BS in Finance and MBA, so familiar with some cases related to business. Also, does anyone want to practice cases on Teams / video chat around mid Feb?
Didn't get the big job I went thru 1M interviews for. Feel like the biggest loser. How many hits can you take until you give up. So exhausted - physically and emotionally.
I can’t stand my team/what I am doing, but find myself staying in the role because of the comp. I think my manager is picking up on this...unhappiness affecting performance and engagement. Advice?
Hi all, I have got 2 interview calls from the same organization. The first call went till 2 rounds amd 2nd call came after that. What should be done in this case should we reject the second call.
