To all of the Talent Management / L&D professionals, what’s essential when creating a 30-60-90 day template? This will be used by the managers to help set up their new hire for success.
It's great to finally have a bowl of our own! In terms of HCM software, what is something that all of them tend to be missing, aside from a good user experience?
Any advice would be helpful. Recently started at a tech consultancy and am building up the HR function. Thanks!
Does anyone have examples of "subjective criteria" besides leadership, that could be used to force rank a group of leaders? The objective metrics are easy, but I'm hoping to blend the data with a few few subjective criteria to help paint a broader picture when making short and long term planning decisions. Thanks in advance.
Has anyone written the CHRL Employment Exam in Canada - Ontario specifically. What was your experience like and how did you prepare?
What HR ticketing system do you use and what important aspects did you consider when looking? Our company is looking into ticketing systems and this will be our first time looking. Right now I’ve seen Zendesk, Workday and Happy Fox. Has anyone sued those before?
What are the key components of your performance review process? The data points we currently use are manager and self scoring of a scorecard for each employee (scorecard outlines mission for the position, outcomes, and competencies) as well as peer feedback based on the competencies of the position (thought being a manager only has so much insight to a person’s day to day, especially in a matrix org). What am I missing?
I recently moved to a new company. As I get access to all the systems, I noticed that I have access to HR function (peers, managers) data within the HRIS system and other sources. I am not planning to look at the data but I'm concerned that peers can see my compensation, etc., if I can see theirs. At the company I came from, HR data was extremely safeguarded and restrictive within our systems. Is this something I should bring up to my manager?
As a salesperson I generally take the approach of keeping my opinions to myself, if a customer asks me something directly I'm not going to lie to them I'll share what I believe in a respectful way. In other words I don't try to force my views on anyone, but lately our world seems to be more and more polarized on everything, and everyone is offered just by knowing you don't share the same views as they do they can't imagine their opinion isn't the only one. How are you handling these situations?

Does anyone have ideas on how to help local businesses during this time from a work perspective? Our engagement committee thought of buying gift cards and somehow incorporating ways to give back but our matching gift program applies to organizations that are only IRS tax exempt. I am trying to find a way that the company can help with giving back to local business. Any suggestions would be appreciated!
One of my executives thinks he is being endearing by calling women "Baby" "Gorgeous" "Sweetie" and he calls men "handsome". I have had multiple complaints against him from female employees and vendors. Does anyone know of any good training courses or advice that can help in this scenario?
Why don’t people block their calendars or cancel meetings when they are out of the office on planned PTO?
Can you negotiate an increase in base if the benefits costs are substantially higher (like 4x-5x) at new company? Same when it comes to pto days?

I’d honestly be fine if the debates tonight broke out into a fist fight. Wouldn’t even be the weirdest part of this election.
Anybody have a goal of retiring early (before or by 40)? I'd like to travel the world the rest of my life 💃
Anyone familiar with Eversana? Reputable? Looks like roll up of small life sciences practices. Recruiter reached out about Senior Consultant role there so want to get independent perspective/opinion.
I find changing into my gym cloths and walking into the hotel gym, even if I don’t work out, helps motivate me to start working out. It may not be that day, or the hardest workout, but it gets.....
Is it just me or does no one talk about the fact that the cast for Scott Pilgrim vs. The World was absolutely stacked
What is your travel rig? I used to carry a Razer Blade, but have ahelved gaming after I gave up on carrying two laptops and the dream of playing on a shield tv/tablet has not yet worked out.
Broke up with my gf of 2.5 years last night, but she’s not accepting the decision. Kept asking for one more chance even that’s happened like 3 times already. Making me feel really guilty about breaking her heart. Like it’s already hard enough to go through this and now this on top. Felt like we had foundational values issues and a hard time communicating, hence a lot of our issues. Feels weird today and would love some advice 🙏
What will the impact of CME futures trading be on BTC? I think there is upside (more institutional money - but cash settlements) and downside (less volatility and quick price rises sure to shorting ability). Thoughts?
Does anyone have experience going from consulting to an operating/portfolio company? I'm sure that's what I want to do but haven't met anyone who has done it before
