Which books would you recommend to a product counel for tech startup about strategy, management, and leadership?
Any thoughts on the best certifications to get in order to help move forward? I have considered the CCP from World at Work, but it’s fairly pricey to get by the time you wrap up everything. I was looking at both SHRM-CP and SPHR. Everyone that I have spoken to has the SHRM, but that’s also only looking at individuals in a small geographic footprint and within 3-4 different companies. I was hoping to get some thoughts on this from others? Thanks
So. Many. Recruiters. Calling all the associates at my midsized firm. I wish there was a tactful way to tell our firm this — they need to step up salaries generally because this is gonna be like shooting fish in a barrel for the big firms.
Software Sales vs. Medical Sales: would like to hear from people on both sides. • Do you recommend your industry? • Daily Interaction • Work/Life • Income growth potential I have good opportunities in both industries, and would value feedback to help me choose. Aware of compagauge & have checked it out, btw. $120k potential for med sales job, unsure on tech yet.

For anyone who’s started at a company fully remote (Covid or otherwise)… when ramping into your new role, what did you do to feel more connected to your team/sales dept? I’m finding that I have questions that I don’t know how or whom to ask, I don’t know who anyone is and my manager can be MIA. This is my first fully remote role and it’s thrown me for a bit of a loop
Any advice for someone looking to transition into a full HR Generalist role from Recruiting. I’m currently a Campus Recruiter with about 5 years of HR experience (Coordinator- Higher Ed). I received my PHR certification in September 2020 and sitting for my SHRM-CP in two weeks. I’m having a hard time transitioning into a full Generalist position.
Anyone here a member of Revenue Collective? Is it worth it? What kind of value have you gotten out of it if so? Thanks!
I got distracted yesterday drafting an appellate brief and completely forgot to show up for a warm body hearing involving a coverage MSJ that has nothing to do with my client. Regardless, I am mortified and of course apologized to the partner. Do I need to address anything with the court or OC or is this nbd?

Completed my final interview last Wednesday for a management level role @ EY with the Partner in the practice area. At the conclusion they spoke of mutual interest and said they were going to reach out to the recruiter assigned to my requisition. It has been over a week and I have not received any communication. Should I reach out to the recruiter or would that come across as tipping my hand in appearing needy? Thanks!
Seeing freelance Account Supervisor or Account Director. Remote opportunity, 2-3 months with possibility to extend, hit me up if interested!!
My boss has zero leverage in the company, and therefore creative always goes to shit because someone in another department thinks they're far better placed to make creative calls, and my boss can't do anything about it to defend the work. It's taking a toll on the work, team's mental health, and overall morale. The company values are no longer aligned to my own, and it's no longer the job I was sold in on during the interview process. What do I do?
Here's the thing, if you don't work for FAANG, TC does not apply to you, your base = your TC, anything under 20% bonus is EXTREMELY INSIGNIFICANT and cannot be accounted as TC. Agree?
Has anyone dealt with movers recently? I have gotten a few quotes from a website. 1br apt from DC to ATL and they’re telling me $1900. Seems low. Loading, unloading, driving, fuel. No hidden fees.

Is it okay to use a corporate discount code at Avis (when booking a car for personal use)? I know people used to do it all the time pre-covid but don’t know if it’s easier to get caught since not many people are traveling for work now
Just a quick FYI to anyone who thought PwC was going to give some massive raises, this was not the case. Associates saw ~5% base increase, Senior Associates saw ~13% base increase, Managers saw ~10%, Senior Managers saw ~5% increase, Directors saw ~5% increase. So unless you were an Senior Associate or Manager, you are making the same money you were 24-months ago, but with all the fun expenses we now incur with WFH.
Advised a client with a new Back to Office Op Model that has a separate year end cohort/comp review for people in the office greater than X days a year. Anyone else working on similar projects?
