15 YOE, recently started my first tech PR job at a large, stable company & have been asked to get ~20 SMEs in front of media. Subject matter is not sexy. I lead PR for all of U.S. & have no other PR colleagues. My agency’s budget is 100k/year & they’re spread too thin to hit their KPIs. I feel set up to fail & feel we should be focusing on a handful of SMEs and only our sexiest topics. Any advice on mitigating unrealistic expectations for coverage? I'm interested interviewing for a position that was advertised as DOE. I understand this means depending on experience, but is there a range I should ask for? If they ask my desired salary, do I tell them? I haven't interviewed for a position like this before.

First time poster here!

After spending 4 years as a mid-level ops manager, I tried to break into HR through talent acquisition. Now after 6 years in TA, I've had a hard time getting out of it. My goal was always to get into a more broad HRBP position, but I've since worked for smaller orgs without a solid HR career path. When I ask about my career goals, they keep telling me, "Soon!" Or "Maybe in 6 months!"

I'm testing SPHR in June. Any advice for securing the type of role I'm aiming for?
