I admire what many of you have accomplished. I live in a smaller city and prioritized other things. I’m not wealthy but will always be comfortable and get to travel. Family lives in the same city. And I’m ending my career doing work I ******* love. Tonight I had to help with a rave held at our site (picture is Latin EDM inside a 100 year old blast furnace). The work can be hard in nonprofit world but crazy rewarding. Keep in mind where you want to be at age 64. I’m so grateful.

I left an omnicom agency for a Publicis one. My new benefits cost me 250 a paycheck (medical, dental, vision) for my spouse and kids. At omnicom it was 630 per check. That’s fuckin robbery right there.

I have a promising interview at a relatively large law firm in my area (+100 attorneys) next week. The position is for a transactional role in their real estate practice group, and they are seeking someone with at least 2 YOE. I have a bit over 7 YOE with a strong real estate/commercial lit. background. Over the past two years in my current position, I've been doing a lot more transactional work. The split is around 50% transactional and 50% lit.

Note taking is not something I was ever particularly good at. Shorthand, symbols, abbreviations, multiple colors - they're all things I use haphazardly, and without consistency.

I think I really could benefit from stepping up my note taking game.
