Hello Are they any other HR licenses that are as valuable as the SHRM and HRCI ?

I started a few new business ( with debt) this year, and because the way my taxes looked with other losses it looks like I didn't make a ton of money. Now my credit dropped from 800 to 720 and I'm having trouble getting credit. Despite having a perfect payment history and fully able to cover all liabilities. Any way to get the credit up. If I pay off my liabilities then my credit history gets shot with young accounts. What's the best way to handle this?

I recently had an initial interview for a technical recruiter position. The guy on the phone stated that this is not a 9-5 job and long hours are expected. I proceed to ask how much PTO is offered and he said that is not recommend within the first 6 months of working and the harder you work the more PTO you receive. From that conversation, I saw instant red flags. Any thoughts?

My company covers in depth results each week, including meetings set/attended, wins, revenue, retention etc. I feel as if evaluating in such depth is detrimental to the psyche, as you never get to “ride the high.” In addition, some weeks are simply slower than others, and it’s not always representative of what the results at the end of the period or quarter will be. Is this not a big deal, and I’m I placing too much importance on it? Or is it beneficial to review results less frequently?

Question: do y’all really love this stuff and understand it? Or are you all on the “fake it til you make it” wave? I ask because I’m in a specialty group under the Corporate umbrella and many of the partners and some senior associates are extremely smart and clearly enjoy this stuff. Some even do “night time reading” to catch up on the recent laws. I, on the other hand, cannot wrap my head around it most of the time and would rather not waste energy doing it. Is it just me? What do i do? Quit?

First year: how long without a full ramp up before I should worry? I’m sub-250 hours since I started (3.5 months) and the firm/group are both busy. Other first years in my group are mixed. Worried I’m missing the reps that first years are getting at other firms. Enjoying the freedom while I have it, but I’m still thinking this is odd. I’m currently in a lease admin type role, in commercial real estate. I make a base salary of $50.5K with about $9k in bonuses. I’ve continuously received 7-10% raises over the last 3 years. I anticipate getting a promotion this year and would like to get closer to $60k for my base salary. I’m the only person in my role at the company and have been a key person in developing our team as we look to expand. Is this unreasonable? Is there a normal increase given with promotions? Need advice & perspectives: I got a verbal review from my manager saying he couldn’t see me as senior cuz I didn’t follow the design doc format he mandates from all designers. While I have been the only designer who does almost everything from design, UI asset creation, wiring up UI in Unity (I am in mobile gaming).
Also the product I’m on has been in MVP stage, things move extremely fast and design decisions changed constantly. He’s not on my team.
Am I crazy for thinking him a bad manager?

GDS folks, a colleague of mine has defaulted on timesheets (more than 3) at senior level and was rated as Progressive. Is that the sole factor for not him not being a rated as differentiator?

How is productivity measured for in-house attorneys? Is there any analog of billable hours for in-house lawyers?
