Discussion post: I feel almost all consulting firms are the same. Mbb, big 4 etc. if you are paid enough there is probably less wlb. If there is good wlb there is not much money. Can you single out a company that you can confidently say pays very well and also has good wlb and also has good opportunities etc.?

My company hosts happy hours but I don't drink. Is it rude to just skip them?

I want to know is there something called web dev + data engineering roles or my experience in data eng is just not useful. as it doesn't fit my profile?

I always wonder if models actually feel worse about their looks than average people, since their job is based 100% on their appearance

I’ve been working as a contract TAS for 6 months in a medical device company. I started part time and as it became busier/my trainer quit, I became full-time. I applied for the TA position through corporate and would like some insight. the company is short staffed and my site specifically does not have good TA retention. For the salary expectation, I put in 85k which is in the range. I’m currently at 64k which is below the minimum of the range. Is this realistic?

Do they think Texas will go the way of CA? Ie/ zoning and artificial cost inflation due to supply constraints by the govt? My law school sample is 7 years old and unrelated to my area of practice, and I don’t think I can use anything from my current work due to the confidential nature. Do people just make up a writing topic and write about it?
