5th year NYC V100 general litigation associate here considering applying to a prominent real estate litigation team at a better firm, but concerned about limiting in-house opportunities in the future. Where do all the real estate litigators go?

Unfortunately, real estate litigation in-house roles are extremely limited. Not even sure if large re companies like Oxford group have in house re litigators as they farm the work out to firms. Best option is to find the firm that will give you greatest leverage in business development. Usually only way to be happy in law is to be a partner with a book of business, otherwise you will always be at the bottom of totem pole (and even with the book of business you still are a slave to your clients naturally)

Again posting since my last post did not got attention. Wanted to ask whether it's good to switch to big 4 India advisory role from a mid tier organization dealing in tech and ops. Additionally, they offered just very low percentage on current CTC saying that I am coming to a big brand.
Plus my current financial situation is stressful and I accepted the offer on certain conditions but now hr or the firm but saying we can't committ you. Any suggestions.

I’m currently an HR specialist and trying to decide what I want my future to look like. I would like to step away from the transactional, administrative HR work. I’m fascinated by employee satisfaction and like the idea of helping to improve retention and leveraging metrics to improve toxic work environments (I’ve seen a fair share of dysfunction in my career). I’m thinking the Consultant route may be best for this. Any other thoughts of roles or titles that may align?

My dilemma is:
A) going back to Italy at a lower salary with less growth opps but better personal life or
B) Switching my job here and hold on

What would you do?

Thx! :)

My law school sample is 7 years old and unrelated to my area of practice, and I don’t think I can use anything from my current work due to the confidential nature. Do people just make up a writing topic and write about it?
