A couple weeks ago, I disputed a transaction for credit card fraud. Equifax picked it up, indicated that there was a remark in my credit card account, and reduced my credit score 111 points. The credit card issuer said that shouldn’t affect my score at all. I filed a dispute with Equifax. Any chance they’ll actually reverse the error?

Yes. Give it 30 days.

After all the shit Equifax puts people though (2019 data breach), I have a very hard time trusting them.

Give it a few days or just hire credit repair specialist who can fix that manually. Cuz many times filing a dispute never really solves it.

I had someone try to open a new credit card under my name and it reduced my credit score - it never reversed but honestly I didn’t follow up I just gave up. Just make sure to keep checking

Has anyone ever heard of this type of real estate private equity fund structure:

-One LLC, so only one PPM
-Multiple investors that can be onboarded anytime
-Multiple investments that investors can determine whether or not they want to invest in
-One K-1 per investor based on their investments and income
-Ability for the Sponsor/Fund to invest directly, indirectly and in equity, debt, Pref, etc.
To me this seems extremely cumbersome and would require multiple classes of (cont’d)

Hi i lost majority of my money in the stock market. I married and promised my family that I will not make the mistake I made 7 years ago. Gambling. Is this an addiction I have. Hello Fishes,

I am new to the investing world. I have invested some 80k in Nifty fifty index funds. I wanted to increase my investment in other MFs and stocks.

Can you advise how to start it considering short term and long term financial goals.

Short term goals - like for 2-3 years

Long term goals - like for 5-6+ years or more depending upon the performance

I have seen multiple you tube videos but seems to get confused on how to start and which funds to pick.

Thank you!

Anyone know how to transfer your 401k after leaving acn?

Hey friends. My wife and I are looking to start investing in the market outside of our 401ks, hsa etc. We opened a Charles Schwab brokerage account and planning to transfer 2-3k/mo. We’re in our late 20s/early 30 and likely won’t need to touch the money for 10+ years. What should be our investment strategy? How should we allocate to what funds? Thinking of splitting evenly across large, mid, small caps, and growth, value funds using DCA.

I'm thinking of selling my car & cash out some of my 401k to buy a house. My thought is to put down 3.5% for a FHA loan then make a big payment towards the principal to reduce long-term interest.

Anything wrong with this thinking or anything else I should consider?

Seeking feedback on GAP insurance. I had a family member who purchased a car in June or July. They were in an accident last week and it sounds like the car will be declared a total loss. Never dealt with this before, so wanted to ask if anyone has ever had an instance where the insurance didn't cover the outstanding balance of the loan and the insured then owed money? Car was $35k, $7k down, finance $28k. Gap insurance is through lender, not auto insurer.
