So I've had 2 hiring managers and several recruiters from Amazon reach out to me about applying for some open positions with the company (android). I completed the coding assessment and now they want me to go through a round of 5 hour interviews next week. Is there a good chance I'll be hired if engineering managers are reaching out to me? I'm really not sure how badly I want to work for them and I don't want to be laid off months after being hired on. Anyone know what Amazon hiring is like?

Received an offer as Engagement Director from Salesforce (CSG, pre sales, L9). Great benefits package, 40% increase in total comp and better WLB.
I do love the people in my practice and current client, but career trajectory has stalled after taking parental leave earlier this year and (yet another) change in leadership.
Realistically, making to Director is 2-3 years away and will require sacrificing time with my family that I am not prepared to give up.

If they’re relatively well established then their salary bands will more than likely be fixed, so if that’s too low for you push to move up a level.
There is ALWAYS room for extra $$$ in RSUs.

Congrats, first of all.
Salary is banded, but you might be able to push to top of the band. Bonus is a percent of salary and usually fixed. Max the salary in the range (don't be a jerk that tries to get more than the role's band). Then there are RSUs. That can often be negotiated. The solution as you see is a little here, a little there and it will add up. See if there is a sign-on bonus, too.
Always let them open with an offer. never throw out your own numbers.
