As of late, my work related anxiety has reached new levels and it’s really starting to affect me mentally. I’m part of a great team; I’m trusted and supported, have a great track record, there are no issues, and have been no incidents. Regardless, my professional self perception and confidence is so rattled as of late, it’s almost like a paralysis at times. I realize there are much larger problems right now, but if anyone has any tips or advice to get over this, I am all ears. Thanks all!

Is it possible for someone with anxiety to have a career at MBB? Anyone currently in this situation? How do you cope?

Anyone else experience of a lack of passion for the job in this Covid world? I just feel like I’m excited about what I’m teaching because so many techniques are not at my disposal. I also feel exhausted by the mask. I’m all for wearing them, but wearing it all day drains me. Any helpful ideas to reignite the passion?

Got Covid (again) from a holiday party this past weekend…. Many other people at the party also tested positive, and 3 got booster. Be careful out there folks!

2 kidneys but can only give 1 (potentially):

1) Cousin: 36, mom of 2, lives a fairly healthy lifestyle
2) Dad: 60-65 YO; kidney failure runs in the family, lives an unhealthy lifestyle but this is dad…

Had anyone stopped taking Xanax? Any tips? I have been taking 0.5 mg of Xanax every night for the past 2 weeks as my anxiety keeps me from sleeping. Unfortunately, I faced a side effect of constipation last few days, so I didn't take it last night, with hopes of weaning off of it. I didn't sleep well last night, and I'm super anxious/jittery today. A little dazed off too.

I’m having a really hard time with my changing body. 13 weeks, I don’t have too many bad side effects of pregnancy or anything so I consider myself lucky (no nausea ever etc) but I’m depressed at work, my skin is completely broken out and showing new broken face capillaries, and I’m not showing a bump yet so I just feel fat and big. I don’t know where this “glow” is but I look in the mirror and literally am grappling with not recognizing myself :( it’s been impossible to find any clothes too.

I went to the lease this last weekend. Not one drop of alcohol was had. That was the closest I’ve come to caving. 4 wheelers, killing dinner with big guns, doing manly things in God’s country. When I joined my current company, we were on a quarterly bonus structure with guaranteed payouts each quarter. This was, in fact, how the recruiter said he could meet my salary request.

The company just announced we are moving to annual payouts only, with no payments for 2023 until May 2024. There are no raises happening.

This amounts to 12% less money in my pocket in 2023 plus inflation.
