ADHD + LinkedIn = cringe

*#AThousandThankYous to the front line workers*
Our nation saw a disheartening surge in covid cases. Amidst these tough and painful times, the doctors, nurses, and hospital staff continue to work day in and day out for our safety, our lives.
Calling you to join hands, as we raise funds to show them a token of gratitude with a small care package.
A ray of light to those who deserve #AThousandThankYous 🙏🏻

Yeah, life long sufferer of severe anxiety and depression here. This stuff makes me nuts, it's trivializing and condescending. I'm not saying ppl need to suffer in silence, but read the room and know the world is bigger than your own little experience. This is like saying you're a "hashtag cancer survivor" because you had a lesion removed ffs.
I do not have the luxury of referencing my adhd as a superpower.
I was late diagnosed with inattentive ADHD and OCD. I agree with using your struggles as strengths when possible. Would I post about it on LinkedIn? No, that's like a magician revealing their secrets.
Exactly
It’s giving me the ick….. and I was recently diagnosed FINALLY at almost 40
I miss when it wasn't "cool" to have a condition.
As someone who was forced to be medicated at a very early age for adhd this kind of stuff drives me nuts… maybe it’s a me thing lol
I wonder what their subordinates and coworkers would say about this gem. Probably annoying AF
Who isn't a neurodivergent with 100s of unused planners?
But there are others that this works for and surprisingly so.
Had a roommate that had mini whiteboards all around the room and the house that she'd update weekly.
So I'm not gonna get an Ick for someone spreading awareness but will for something generic like this
Omg that's me with the white boards 🤣if you can't see it, you don't know it. You don't know it, you don't do it.
I’m guessing poster was just sharing what has work for them and overcoming certain obstacles. In hopes of maybe helping someone else who has been dealing with the same thing. It’s just their observation showing because they have been comparing things and how they made it work. I’m sure there is someone out there that will find that information useful. I have several ADHD/autism young people in my life. They operate in the same manner I think if they were aware that it works for others in a different arena it would give them more confidence.
