Hello people, how common is a Amazon to PWC move ?
I’m interviewing for a Senior Associate role and TC seems to be more competitive than role in L5.
TC $114k- Base AMZ- $73k +$38kstocks ( vesting 17k$ due next year)
TC $135k Base PWC -$81$ + Bonuses ( 50k$)
Looking for managerial skills which the PWC role avails, and L6 promo doesn’t seem to be happening soon in current role. I’m also mentally stretched. I hear WLB in PWC is just as busy but can anyone confirm if this move makes any sense. Google Amazon

Definitely ask. What have you got to lose? Letting them know you are ambitious is good in your position.
I would think so. Even assuming that your firm is doing okay at this time, I doubt that they want to pay someone more when they can probably get away with not doing so. Obviously I don’t have all of the information needed, like any particular leverage you may have, but again, firms have the ability now more than ever to avoid promoting their employees.
Totally curious which firm this is
It could still happen. Don’t give up!
Yes, I should have added that it can definitely still happen! Seems like just terrible timing more than anything else.
I think it makes sense to raise now with the option to table it for when things are looking better (particularly if you think the difference is valuable from a job security standpoint at the moment). Phrasing it like hey excited and grateful to get to continue working for you on a more permanent basis. Now that things are official, I wanted to discuss/get an idea of career progression. For example, what the path looks like to get on the same track as my peers who might have joined via a more traditional avenue.
