After so many rounds of quite layoffs in the past two years (and trying to sugarcoat it as "performance-based" layoff), PwC finally has the gut to announce a formal layoff. As a former employee, I am just so glad I'm out of this mess. From what I see, the leadership team is the actual problem. Just feel sorry for all my former colleagues who have to go through all this BS.

Working at a company and they can’t seem to hold on to their female, black and people of color employees. I blinked and 3 of the people who were in my onboarding class were either fired or they left. For context I’ve been in company less than a year and there are people who have been in the company 25yrs. I’m thinking of cutting loose before it gets to my turn.

So, I just fired my first employee as a manager and I'm heartbroken. He was a great, great person but after 6 months on a PIP he just wasn't cutting it skills-wise. I know he was the provider of the household and his wife didn't have a job since she was raising three young ones. Needless to say, I had to take off because I felt terrible, sick to my stomach. If I get laid off, I have a previous colleague that started a cybersecurity company. I would love to get involved on the business side of it.
