It’s that time of year again. The debut of your Agency Wrap Up Sizzle. The time when you torture a couple creative teams, EAs, designers, editors and PMs for two weeks to make the sickest sizzle, mashing up our most forgettable :15s with photos of late nights in the office (RTO BABY!), forced happy hours and red-faced CCOs accepting awards, all set to a Kendrick song.

We don’t care about this sizzle. Please stop the madness.

SIL and BIL told us excitedly last weekend that she was pregnant (had literally just found out, so barely four weeks). This week she tells us she’s not pregnant anymore :(. They did not seem super torn up about it and were very practical about it. We said how sorry we were, etc etc. should I do anything else? Should I not mention it again unless they do?

Did anyone else adopt the new Florida Wonders curriculum? We just adopted it this school year, and I teach 4th grade. My team and I have not found a good flow, schedule, or whatever you want to call it. We feel like it teaches too many skills in one lesson, and we are not able to truly teach anything “deep” enough for students to master. Does anyone have any insight? What do you do? Do you like the curriculum? Why or why not? Would you be willing to share what you do weekly/daily? Thanks!

I am generally uncomfortable when I’m around my mother-in-law’s husband.

While he is overall a decent guy, his anger issues, yelling at his wife for the slightest issue, and insulting nature makes me uncomfortable and triggers my own anger due to his blatant disrespect for just about everyone around him.

We give 16 weeks paid for “primary caregivers “ and 6 weeks for “secondary “ caregivers. I want to advocate for everyone to get at least 12 weeks.

My father took a home loan, and the same home is kept as mortgage.
I'm paying arround 22k emi for the same but unable to exempt tax as the loan is on my father's name.

I googled a lot how to transfer it but neither gift deed nor sale deed would work as the property is on mortgage that's under bank's ownership (until loan is fulfilled).
Tax is also getting deducted, I'm paying hefty emis.

Anybody taken adhd meds while pregnant? Or quit because you were pregnant? How did work go?

A parent of one of my students told admin she thinks it's irresponsible that I won't be grading over Christmas break. I let the students know to get any work they need graded in before the break and I'll get it to it during our workdays in January. Apparently that's not fast enough for her 🙄. Crazy ethics issue. Client 1 has VPO against man who later becomes Client 2. This is the 4th VPO this year, previous ones dismissed.

In the meantime, State has filed rape charges against man who becomes Client 2 and A/B charges against Client 1. Client 1 also files for divorce.

Clients reconcile (which is how they both end up clients...) and want VPO dismissed, divorce dismissed, and criminal charges dismissed.

DHS gets involved and want to remove the child from Client 1's custody. (1/2)

I never do this but I need some objective advice. My wife is 5mo pregnant and my sister is getting married. Wedding was adjusted because of COVID but she set the date knowing I might not be able to attend as I’d have to fly there. Graduated in 2020, wanted to be a graphic designer, took a job at a startup in a social media role. The boss called me the "r" word for not handling entire 13-ish accounts roster well by myself. How do I start preparation for big companies like MAANG?

Fellow enterprise tech sales fish, I’m interested to hear your perspective. I’ve been in a rut lately and seriously considering leaving sales. I think it’s primarily fueled by one thing:
After a 6 mo cycle I closed a large deal (4x the average deal size) prior to receiving delayed 2022 comp plans. The deal counts as a 2022 deal. On last years comp plan it would’ve paid out at 10%. This year it pays out at a measly 4%.

What’s the average compensation for an Account Executive?

I have a CD that gets extremely flustered when you ask them for their opinion on a solution. For example after showing them multiple color pallets and CD not quite liking any of them (real Goldie locks moment) i suggested why not we do (fill in three colors here), the CD freezes up and gets annoyed because they don’t want to say yes or no without seeing it in front of them. Working on tight turn arounds and a cd who is too busy for meetings it proving tough with remote working. Any tips?

My book is just spec and side projects. I’m trying to get a new junior-to-mid role because I’ve gotten nothing good produced where I’m at, and I have zero faith this will change if I stick around.

I’m asked for work samples from recruiters and CDs even though I make clear that what I’ve done doesn’t reflect who I am as a creative. Think CRM/DM/B2B stuff. They insist on it, and I never hear back afterwards.

Not sure what to do. Almost feel like I’d be better off erasing my agency experience.
