Any courses recommended to understand how organizational finance and compensation actually works? Getting up in my career but still struggle to make decisions around compensation structures, RSUs, equity, partner buy-ins, ebitda. I know the definitions but not actual application when it comes to decision-making. Is this just stuff you learn in B school? I didn’t go the MBA route so grateful for any advice!

I’ve spent 4 years in Big 4, with about half that time in FDD. I feel like Corp Dev is what I ultimately want, but am wondering if a stint in banking could be worth it. If I’m not interested in PE or other buyside alternatives, is the pit stop in IB worth it?
Mainly wonder if IB is a must have box to check, or if you can work your way up the ladder without.

I am project manager in clinical research industry (CRO). After earning PhD, I gave up my science dream to take a more stable job. After slowly climbing the ladders, I feel like I finally got a seat at the table. Half the days I like the hustle, but now I miss being creative. I want to take more brainstorming, decision making responsibilities but I don’t see that in the career path for PM. Career path usually goes like this- Sr PM, Director, Sr Director, and so on. But all do same work.
