Any tips to breakout of the ad agency space? I'm ready to explore other industries as a PM, but need ways to do that bc one tends to be pigeonholed into agency after being at one more than 2 years (which I have - almost 3y exp)

I've applied to a few non-agency PM roles, but obviously without industry knowledge it's hard to get past initial screening. I could stay in pharma bc that's in my experience (I don't love it but it's something) - I just don't want to be at an agency anymore

I've become really jaded about consulting. I find all so often you need to tell the client what they want to hear to keep their business and I feel like so much of the what I recommend doesn't actually get implemented. I'm looking to make a career switch so I can both create and execute on my strategies. A product management path seems very promising for this.
