She even claimed to have read all 5000, yes, 5000 resumes for a single job application.

I saw this but the very last sentence threw me off and I got off the app. I know in the ATS the user can set parameters to filter top applicants and weed out the rest. So maybe that’s what she means but yeah idk reading all 5000 is a stretch. Unless she had 1 job posting for ample amount of time.

Saw on another comment that she spread it across a few weeks at a time. If you want to do it that way that's fine, but telling job seekers that how everyone does it is bad

I saw her post! 😂

like

This is actually what pretty much all of the recruiters are saying. As long as you pass the knock out questions, your resumes are read by a recruiter. But yes, ATS’ can filter to put “top candidates” towards the top of the pile.

like

Not all 5k applicants, she claims she doesn't use the ATS

What’s ATS?

Applicant tracking system. They are used to collect and select resumes and more

this one seems okay

Pros:

- fairly decent place to work (from someone who worked with the Vancouver and San Jose offices). never met a blue badger (permanent employee) who had awful things to say.

- Ashley Goodall (their SVP, Methods & Intelligence) co-authored a brilliant book on leadership and people management called “Nine Lies About Work” that makes me believe they can be an awesome place to work

Cons:

- red badgers had low morale since they’re contract workers and can be terminated at any time

on the way to an interview this morning eating a sandwich. I walked past a homeless man who had a stray cat perched on his lap. He asked for a bite of sandwich to feed them both as they hadn’t eaten in days. I gave the whole sandwich over and headed off to the interview. As I got to the interview room there was a large executive chair facing away from me. The chair turned and on top was a mirror. When looking in the mirror I could see the cat. I am the cat.
