Sometimes is best to take it piece by piece. So don’t look at trying to maintain a positive attitude for the next week. Focus on being positive tomorrow, or for the next six hours. If you need an initial spark, try listening to the words of Marcus Aurelius on YouTube. This video is really good by Ryan holiday “these simple words will help you through life most difficult situations”. Good luck my friends, we’re all rooting for you
100% in the same boat. Last week it all just hit me and I’ve been wicked stressed, negative, impatient, etc. the past ~8 days.
I asked this same question a few days ago and all of the advice was to take a few days off to clear my head. But I feel that is a waste of my finite PTO, especially given I have to stay at home anyways.
I planned a meeting with my boss later this week to talk about how I’m doing. Hopefully that helps 🤷🏻♂️
Following. I was doing ok until the end of last week. Now I'm in a slump and can't shake it off. Here to commiserate! Hope others have some good ideas.

Oh god ditto. Some switch got turned on Sunday.
Today was the day it went downhill for me, first day off since December and got so many calls and texts I just ended up logging in. I transferred offices in November and haven’t seen a familiar face since then, hard to stay positive. Sorry, not helpful to your ask but you’re definitely not alone, hope it gets better!

Gratitude journal. Or just text yourself every day twice a day. It rewires the brain to look at the positive in life and build upon that.

I have a bit more time, yet don’t want to exercise, I am working 10+hours a day and on the weekend. I have to chance to sleep later due to less commute but get up anyway due to stress. Wondering why we bothered to put the economy through this major hardship when we are all going to return to activities and be in the same boat. That is really what has me down. The point of it all. And I don’t fear the virus but all the upheaval has me down.

So... this is 8 weeks for most states. Seeing as other places went 3-4 months, this just means we’re hitting the tallest of the hump. We’re at the hump and it’ll get better from here!
Me too - all of a sudden this week especially. At my breaking point tbh
I did until I picked myself up a big fat bag of medical grade marijuana, and started banging out yard work. It’s all good now. I could go on like this forever.
You are not alone OP.... Personally, I am finding myself going up and down a lot more (e.g. really good days and then really bad days). The other thing is that I fee like I can’t get my mind off work and end up working even when I don’t need to.... One thing that has helped me is trying to get on a consistent sleep schedule, which has been fairly challenging...
Very common and have felt some of the same feelings. Not a big gamer but when I busted out my old Nintendo Wii that changed a lot for me.
