I don’t have any friends at either company so I was curious if anyone has experience and can shed some light on culture/ work life balance to help me make a decision? Thanks for the help guys!

There are two ways to think of this:
1. Is this your #1 job, is this THE job you want? If so, might be beneficial to just get the job. Speak with people you are assigned. Later, clarify the location. If you have to move, then you move - usually you can transfer locations after two years or even right after the interview.
2. Is your sight set on a particular location? If the job isn't in your desired location, you will not take it. Then talk to the recruiter.
I am currently working as an analyst at a smaller boutique consulting firm but IBM would be a better company for me in terms of reputation and salary in the long run. However, as for the team, it’s a service line I don’t know if I want to stay in considering it will affect my direction in the long run
If it is in consulting, they generally don't care about location after the initial start. Rarely will you go into office and transfers are relatively easy
Talk to your recruiter about it, they’re there to help.
