I absolutely hate my job and would like to resign ASAP but my bond period is until Feb 2023 but they are already having a qualifying exam which I won't clear and will get fired anyways in Jan 2023...but they are refusing to let me go without paying bond money.. What will happen if I just get myself fired😑

People who have had confidence knocks: how did you get it back? I was laid off, 6M out of work, had therapy, now freelancing but I’m slow af. It’s like my brain only works in 2nd gear now.

Hey everyone, I was recently laid off.. on November 3 actually. It’s a “temporary layoff” and I’m one of the 4 who got laid off. My return date is February 1st. Would you wait, and collect employment insurance (Canada) or start looking for a new job??

Most likely getting fired, tips on how to find a job ASAP? I made a pretty big mistake that required supplemental filings with government offices to fix (missed some items when reviewing/comparing long lists of things across 20-30 years). It’s fixable and the client isn’t really getting hurt by this (worst case signing gets delayed), but my anxiety is telling me to prepare for the worst. Can I ask for extra time at the firm to find a new job (so I wasn’t “fired”)? Or should I go for severance?

Laid off with 1 YOE. Do I include college Awards / Extracurriculars (have just one line to list each right now) ? How about SAT scores?

My book shows better work and more awards then anyone at my agency. Experience is more varied and diverse than my boss. I am the only woman CD. Was given the least exciting clients. Junior most creative to work on projects. Still managed to make creative work and win some shiny things. Got burnt out after 5 years. Told them so. Got laid off. Have seen this happen to other female CD too in the past. Maybe it’s me. Maybe it’s them. But seriously reconsidering advertising.

hardest week I’ve experienced in my career (25) and I just can’t stop crying. It’s too much pressure and I don’t know how I will get through this. I worked until 9pm+ every night this week and at this point I see no balance between work and personal life. I understand there’s good days and bad but this week was insane. Im scared Im going to get fired for not being good enough and I know I’m unhealthy mentally. It’s also impacting the relationships in my life. No question just venting.

I'm scared of leaving consulting because I have commitment issues, I like not staying on the same team for more than six months , I like being able to quit projects with shitty bosses. In the industry, you spend an entire year with one team and that seems scary. Also there is no system of bench if you get fired.

Has anyone else developed a massive paranoia about getting fired? I’m terrified that any mistake will get me fired. My manager is very emotional in their reactions so it’s traumatized me a bit
