Heads up, the 300 annual reimbursement for travel is now being offered for groceries until end of year
They’re charging $450 through the end of this year. Also, through the end of this year, gas and grocery store purchase count towards the $300 annual credit. Add in the $60 for DoorDash and you’re down to $90.
Exactly! And the preffered card gets no perks and fee is 95. If you add Lyft pink and instacart you have more savings

The 300 travel credit plus the 60 doordash credit makes it 190. Are they charging 450 or 550? The 3x points makes it worth it depending on your spending habits. Also the hassle of getting a new card worth it to you?
Oops sorry it’s $450, not $550. That makes it more worth to renew
They’re charging 450 not 550
just got charged 450.
I downgraded a month ago. I’m also having a baby so didn’t think I’d be using it for travel as much, even when covid is over.
My door dash says 60 bucks through December end then another 60 after Jan and before expiration. So it’s 120?
Absolutely renewing. 450 dollar fee breaks down in the following way - 300 dollars towards groceries or travel. 60 dollars to door dash each year (plus discounts on each order). Lyft pink saves me a few dollars each ride. Maybe 10-20 a month easily. They also now offer an instacart credit which I’m sure I’ll look into in the winter (I live in downtown Chicago with no car). Add in points generation and you have well over 450 dollars in value.
What’s the instacart benefit? I haven’t seen this.
Mine expires in feb. I just actually checked for same reason. Likely will cancel.
Beyond the previously mentioned perks you also get TSA pre and global travel paid for and the insurance benefits on purchases and travel are worth it too. If the benefits are beneficial to you the $450 fee ends up being $0 or close to it. I usually get on trip a year out of points for the family by getting loads of bonus points and using the card for most purchases and payments I make
Is there a way to tell how much travel statement credits have been given ?
Yes on the ultimate rewards portal
It will be 550 after the 2020 renewal so in January I’ll have to downgrade because that extra 100 and less travel to earn 3x points isn’t justifiable anymore
I downgraded to the preferred. It doesn’t impact your credit score and you can always upgrade in the future. Couldn’t justify the $450 right now and preferred still has solid perks
50 dollar credit if you want the instacart express membership but I think it ended 9/30.
