Hello All, I have offer in hand of 27.5 LPA+15% variable from ZS Associates as a BT Solutions delivery consultant and now my current company is ready to retain me by matching the offer & assuring that they will send me onsite to UK in couple of months. Now I am in a dilemma of what to do as I have been looking for onsite opportunities for my entire career so far. Kindly share your thoughts. Thinking about accepting a software engineering offer for BCG Digital Ventures . can anyone working there tell me about the work culture, learning opportunities, and exit opps . Im also interviewing with Zillow and am deciding wether to wait or take an offer. I’m really intrigued by the idea of building ventures and learning alot on the technical and entrepreneurial sides, but the opportunity to work for a tech unicorn is also very intriguing

Salary. Comparable
WLB. Depends. BCG likely better.
Career growth. McKinsey likely better.
McK has a faster trajectory if you are top performer
Rising Star
You can probably jump levels half to one year faster at McK than BCG, which would reflect in comp and exit ops.
In the end it all equals out more or less and it more so depends on where you can see yourself grinding 60+ hours a week with the people/culture you prefer.
Mckinsey
Fewer levels of partner at bcg 7 vs 17. So junior partners at bcg get paid more and have more responsibility

Neither if WLB is a consideration
WLB depends vastly on project/client (as in almost any consulting company). Salary I would say is broadly similar. Career Growth also depends on a multitude of factors, both companies offer very strong career progression if you are willing to put the (very hard) work.
Which one is better for experienced hire?
You should optimize for what’s different between the two firms, not for what is more or less similar (based on the criteria you mention). That said, if you’re not going to be a partner, either firm is fine.
Better international opportunities as McK I think, probably more office culture at BCG. All in all your experience probably won’t differ too much.
