Best DCA strategy for entering the market? Should I just be doing this for index funds?

Recently got a massive bump in pay and a large bonus. Was previously putting savings into BlockFi, crypto and individual stocks, but probably a bad idea to do that long term.

ACDs in tech, what are your salary ranges if you live outside of SF + what city are you in? I’m in SF (big tech co) and given covid, been thinking about leaving but curious what numbers I would be looking at in Seattle vs LA or other cities with tech companies. Thank you!

I once asked a colleague at a radio company how much he's paid monthly, and he outright refused to tell me. In fact, he found it very odd that I asked. I later learned that he was making double my salary. I know it's not an employee's job to fix pay inequity by sharing their salary figures, but I'm still of the opinion that it helps uncover pay gaps. But do you think it's wise to do so at the risk of damaging your work environment or the whole thing backfiring on you? Thoughts are welcome.

Seeing how 401k’s, ira’s etc..are mostly based in stocks. What happens if we have another Great Depression and the stock market crash’s. Even if you have Real estate investments, if ppl can’t pay rent like with Corona, that’s not really helpful. I just heard recently that if you refinance and your house appraises at 20% more than the amount owed, you can remove PMI. Is this correct? Getting a divorce and trying to keep the house but moving from a VA to a traditional loan and would rather not pay PMI if I don’t have to. House was purchased for $460k no money down (VA loan), refinanced at $450k to lower payments $400/month, now have $430k left on the loan... would it have to appraise for $516k?
