Best events/conferences/groups to join using my associate marketing budget to begin building relationships with insurance adjusters? My exposure is primarily with home insurance cases right now. I’ve read (here) that it may take 1-2 years to get a case so I want to start now.

DRI and the ABA might have conferences that address topics for those types of claims and policies. If applicable to you, I’ve heard there are also DEI insurance-related groups. Depending on how senior you are, you may have better results offering to do an in-house seminar for your clients. Offer to travel to their office, order lunch for everyone, and spend an hour on emerging case law, or best practices to avoid bad faith, or whatever topic pertains to their the type of work you handle for them. Insurance clients love this and tons of firms do it. It helps them see you as someone who can answer their questions and handle their matters.

Would love any assistance if possible!

48/M, average health. Few weeks ago I had a seizure out of the blue. First time ever, no family history. At the hospital given lots of tests: MRI, CT, EKG, EEG, blood/urine/COVID tests. Everything came back normal. Since hospital discharge I’ve seen cardiologist and wore halter monitor for a week. All good. Have neurologist appointment next month but afraid no one knows why this happened. In the meantime no one wants me to drive a car. Can this happen again? Can anyone relate to this situation?

Does anyone know of any places in/around Atlanta or remote that may fit this criteria? Sorry for the vagueness. Thanks!

Hey! Any Google folks know if it’s possible to negotiate fully remote if a contract role is hybrid? Personally, I don’t want to relocate and go to the office on a contract role given the current economy. Plus, I’m assuming contractors are the first to go in layoffs. I just think it’s a fair trade off if I’d be allowed to work fully remote. I’m also trying to have flexibility to manage my Airbnb business in a different country. Same time zone as the home office if I’d travel weeks at a time.

My firm typically does insurance defense, but we take plaintiffs cases here and there. This is my first experience with this, but it’s hard for me to reach my hours as is, without spending time on non billable cases like this with no assurance that I’ll see billable credit at the end.
