Can some1 explain how the journey starts from day 1.
Heard Noise abt client interviews , bench process,layoffs etc etc.
Need Serious Comforting advise.

Has anyone been fired and then subsequently received unemployment? I was let go this week and am wondering if that is realistic to expect. Thanks!

A $1T valuation is fine, but Tim Cook should be fired for the value loss that came from actually producing products, being famously boring and not losing his mind on social media.

I was laid off, and I am now trying to pick up freelance while also on unemployment. Last week I made roughly double my UE benefits from a freelance job.

Is it okay if I get fired from D after my H1B transfer for the new employer gets approved ?

Working at a company and they can’t seem to hold on to their female, black and people of color employees. I blinked and 3 of the people who were in my onboarding class were either fired or they left. For context I’ve been in company less than a year and there are people who have been in the company 25yrs. I’m thinking of cutting loose before it gets to my turn.

When do I begin adjusting? It’s been 4 months. I joined as an associate and I feel like sometimes my work is sloppy or I’m overwhelmed. I’ve gotten feedback that I’m making progress but that sounds fake. I’ve also gotten feedback that my work is sometimes sloppy. The last report I helped write had a ton of write ups on it. Need some suggestions: My current company is on a layoff spree and 2 rounds are already done and I can foresee another round coming very soon.

While I am trying to switch to other companies, I’m not able to reveal the real reason from my side for the job change, as if I say, it’s because of layoff fears than it’ll reduce my negotiation power.

Clawback clause in current contract: been in role for over 2 yrs, it was an internal move that required relocation. Relocation was approved shortly after (over 2 yrs ago) but covid meant the actual move and start of my contract with new subsidiary was delayed, I was paid by the previous subsidiary meanwhile. I got small relocation package. Would internal move be subject to a buy-out/clawback clause if I leave now and if yes, is it time in role or time under new contract? Any experience? Thanks!
