I was fired after I reported a partner for a serious (criminal) ethics violation. The firm covered it up. Are all companies like this in the end? I’ve lost my trust and don’t know how to start over.

The week of my wedding, my husband (PL SQL Developer 4 yoe) was laid off. That was a couple of weeks ago. Hi everyone, I'm new to Canada and want to start my career here in the Financial and Banking industry. I have passed the CFA level 2 exam and was wondering if I have to complete the Canadian Securities Course (CSC) as most of the job postings here mention about it. I saw that if someone passes at least the CFA level 1 exam then the requirement of CSC is exempted. Can anyone enlighten me about this? As the CSC exam costs above 1000 CAD, I wanted to be sure if I need it before investing behind it.

I have a brokerage account with 7k in it, split 70% VOO 30% SCHF. I now have an additional 11k I can add - how should I allocate it? Should I move towards an 80/20 split just in current funds or add things like a growth (VGT) or high dividend ETF (VYM). All of my retirement accounts are already maxed, FWIW and don’t need the $ for any large purchases needed in the near future.
