Book recommendations for a 27 year old guy trying to figure out what to do with his life?

My SO is an alcohol abuser but has said he knows it’s a problem and would like to cut back or quit. Any suggestions or advice in how to help and cope with this. He becomes a different person when he drinks. I want to support him but don’t know how or where to start.

I got an email last night from a 7th-grade parent because her son said I mentioned the words "male privilege" in class, and she is very concerned about how that is related to ELA (she said "reading"), and she is concerned about this being taught in public schools. To be clear, I didn't do a lesson on this subject but we did discuss rights versus privileges. I've had multiple parents contact the school/get upset with me because of things like his. Four years out of rehab today. Mostly sober since I “graduated”. Sometimes I want to act out and be caught, so I can be punished…because I don’t believe I was punished enough or suffered enough (divorce, losing a house, suicidal thoughts aren’t punishment enough apparently). In a meeting tonight a couple shares brought me right back to when I hit rock bottom, to the pain that I inflicted on others and myself. Desperately want to get into healthcare strategy consulting. 13 years of healthcare clinical experience including project work. MBA. But keep getting told by recruiters that I don't have enough experience to be a Consultant or Manager but that I have too much experience to enter in every level such as a Senior Associate.
