Maturity comes through with clients. Stick with it. Avoid almost all "extracurricular" activity when on the road. I work a lot from the road to maximize time at home
I feel ya..I am in the same boat..key is keep going at it and find that one thing about you that will distinguish you from the counterparts...I would prefer the kid over bunch of +1's..totally worth it

For sure. As a parent you've had to deal with a host of life situations first hand that are impossible for those without kids to empathize with. Makes you way more competent at building relationships, understanding people's motivations, dealing with conflict and so on. It just takes seeing what you know as a plus and making that knowledge work for you.
Same and agree. Creating a pull for your work will help keeping flexible.
Hours aren’t output, though it can feel like that sometimes. You have every motivation to figure out the better way to do something the first time. Find your role and kill it so you can do something even more important
