Can anyone recommend a good business leadership or marketing or startup book to get as a gift for someone?

I work at a preschool that redirects disruptive students by giving them a book to calm down and regroup. Do you think this is a good practice or does it ultimately lead the student to see reading as punishment?

Interested in perspectives on training a very inexperienced person (high school graduate) to be the assistant you want them to be (requiring patience and training to develop skills the person may or may not be able to develop) versus hiring an experienced executive assistant (20+ years experience known to be excellent) for a partner slowly developing book but rapidly developing leadership (on executive level) at the firm.

There are far too much books on leadership (how to inspire and develop people), but not so much on how to manage projects (timeline, stakeholders, risks, etc.)
