Considering leaving Community and going back to CSM roles.

I don’t feel as though I have job security and I feel under qualified for other CM roles. Don’t get me wrong, I love Community. It brings me joy when I’m not being bullied into going against everything I know by leadership 🙃

Has anyone else felt like this? Did you regret leaving? Was it the best thing for you?

Are you feeling underqualified for other community manager roles because you lack certain skills or experience? Consider identifying areas where you could improve your skills or knowledge, such as through online courses, mentorship, or networking. Hope you find a balance within yourself soon.

Contacting mentors or people in your network with expertise in community management or other positions you are thinking in might be a good idea. They might be able to shed light on your alternatives or provide advise. The choice to leave a job and seek another profession is a personal one that may be influenced by a number of different variables. Making the choice that is best for you and your professional objectives requires giving your alternatives significant thought.

I feel it every now and then. The times when I was not able to meet the deadlines or give what is expected of me made me feel like I am underqualified. But I am still here, trying to prove my worth.

How about finding a good career coach or mentor? They will help you decide what to do next and will even guide you to the right path. Best of luck, OP!

AWS vs Cloudflare BDR roles

AWS lowballed but I negotiated to match Cloudflare. Cloudflare offers more equity but AWS has a higher base.

I love Cloudflare. The people are great but it’s an engineering culture and the sales team isn’t as well shaped up and I can’t go for a promotion until at least 18 months of tenure. I am an investor in the company and think of them super highly. I’ve already got half a years SDR experience and AWS promotes quicker.

AWS has prestige but is it worth it?

Hi all! I’m applying to NYU tax llm and I’m pretty confident I can get in,but it’s unlikely I’ll receive a scholarship. I’m working at a non big4 consulting firm for about 1.5yrs now, doing mainly international with some M&A exposure. I want to do llm because I still want to shoot for biglaw. I have a small kid so it’ll be hard to do the program part time. Should I quit my current job and enroll full time? Meaning lose 1yr salary and taking on a job security risk. TIA!
