I racked up about $20k in credit card debt due to a confluence of things happening at once (move, school expenses , etc ). I have a fair amount of paper assets but not a much free cash. Assets are down a decent amount with the current market cycle and I’d prefer not to sell them to cover the debt , although they easily could. Has anyone dealt with a therapist not being able to see you (virtually) while you are temporarily located in another state? My annual perf discussion is monday morning. I work on a tough team for a tough place. I think Im a pretty good/almost high performer but only around 3 years and my boss seems to still act like I’m brand new (lifer boomer). I try to tell myself he has 6 direct reports and has to do this with everyone, Im no more or no less special - but I hate these convos and negative feedback even when most of it is unsurprising/fair feedback. So someone I know asked HR about a boot policy. When he found out that there wasn’t one, but his boss said there was (who gave the guys $ for boots and the claimed it on his expense reimbursements as something else) the boss got mad at him for askingHR (and in trouble for the expense reimbursements) and then 2 days later laid off my friend. There appears to be no notice of bad performance and this person always was the first person on the job site ready to work. Thoughts?

I was looking at both SHRM-CP and SPHR. Everyone that I have spoken to has the SHRM, but that’s also only looking at individuals in a small geographic footprint and within 3-4 different companies. So, a recruiter gave me feedback that my lack SPHR or SHRM-SCP is causing my resume to be knock out by AI and human recruiters despite my position and work history in Multinationals and being in Technology. They suggested that we put SPHR ( Lapsed). I let it lapse in 2017. What is your opinion? Plus if I were to take another certification - should I take SPHR or SHRM-SCP?
