PwC India Hi Folks, I left my stable job at Deloitte USI and moved to Germany for a better job. But my mom had a major health issue and I'm planning to travel back to India to support her as I'm a single child. I'm working in one of the top organisation in Germany with a base of 90k euro and looking for good opportunities in India. Busy season continues

Any one familiar with comp for a Portfolio Associate roll at PIMCO on their mortgage backed securities team? I’m looking at an offer and want make sure I’m in line with the average comp for the company and industry. Only 4 months of experience and offer is 98k w/ 10-20% bonus plus 15k relo/ sign on. Looking at Glassdoor, bonuses seem higher than quoted by the hiring manager. (No written offer yet they say they’re still working on it)

If the promotion raise is to 95k, still a 30+% bump if you jump…
My uneducated opinion of EY WLB is that it’s pretty good relative to other consulting firms, but as always, project dependent
FWIW, I say go!
I really like being at EY. Everyone's experience is different but I've experienced really good things. The pay is good, the work is good, unlimited vacation, 19 firm holidays (this one is really my favourite), fitness reimbursement etc.
I am leaving in a month to go to MBB but trust me, leaving EY was a hard choice! You'll like it here. If nothing, you can always go back to your original company!
If you don't try it, you'll never know :)
Good luck!!
No.. it's a firm wide thing where they will reimburse 75% of fitness related purchases ranging from gym memberships to meal kit delivery services upto $1000 a year. Kicker is - your reimbursement gets taxed so you only get 50% money back. Still not bad!
EY isn't too bad ... I used to work there for 5 years
WLB obviously varies by project / domain but I don’t think it’s too bad. I’ve had a few week stretches where I work super super late, but I’ve also had a few week stretches where I’m closing my laptop by 4 or 5pm. Make sure you set your boundaries with internal initiatives. I think you should also consider who EY audits and your investing portfolio as the independence guidelines are pretty annoying even if you don’t work in any sort of accounting.
^^ but keep in mind this is for a lot of consulting firms
EY will give you good experience, take it. If you don’t like, you can go back at higher salary. I have couple of companies twice in my resume..
