Currently living in my hometown. Joined Accenture a few months back and MD wants me to move to another city. I’m living with some family currently and want to wait it out due to covid, layoffs, etc. but I want to move out of my family’s place but still in the same city till I move. I just don’t have enough room here. Thing is I don’t want to buy new furniture and then have to bring it with me to that new city. I’d rather bring less to that new city and buy when I get there. What should I do?

Why do firms fire people with low but still profitable hours? I am in my first full year on track for pretty low hours (~1500) but the actual realized fees (after writedowns) are still double my yearly salary. Home office preference question. I am getting ready to redo the layout of my home office. One option I'm considering would have my desk facing a wall.
