Does anybody have any tips on nailing executive-level interviews?

I currently hold an executive job in an ad agency, and am interviewing now to switch companies. But I’ve been promoted to my current role, and I haven’t interviewed in years.

I recently had an initial interview that went well, but does anybody have suggestions on how to nail the second interview? Should I prepare a 30-60-90 plan based on what I know, or is that presumptuous?

I tell anyone interviewing to shift the conversation to them not you as much as you can in the early conversations. I get that sounds generic or basic but showing you want to learn about them and truly understand the role is more important than guessing what to put in a 30-60-90 day plan. You are flying blind unless you know everything the hiring decision-maker is thinking. If they need you due to a change in direction that isn't public, then you asking questions will find that out and they will value that you listen learn first then aim/act.

This is excellent advice and i think applies at every stage of the interview process!

I had an interview w/ the Hiring Manager at Boston Consulting Group for a position and it went so well that the HM said on the spot I was going to be moving onto the next round. Its been weeks since that interview & I've had to follow up w/ the recruiter 3x asking for an update. I mentioned interviewing elsewhere but prioritizing BCG. He finally responded to that saying he was going to debrief with the HM and get back to me but nothing... what gives?
