If you are starting as an Audit Associate some time from now with Deloitte or any of the big 4, do they expect you to have passed/completed all 4 parts by the time you start? Received the Becker Reimbursement email from the recruiter not too long ago but have yet to start. I’ve seen plenty of people get to Senior at a big 4 firm without the CPA so I am a bit confused in that aspect. Any helpful feedback will be very much appreciated.
I interviewed for Data Analyst role at EY, it went well and the job sounds great, but I'm a bit hesitant to leave PwC because I really like the firm and I'm just 8 months in my job as an associate at a subgroup of ITS that has some focus on technology and analytics but it's mostly tax compliance.
I do want to transition to data analytics but I'm not sure if it's a good idea to go to another big 4, or maybe just look for a position in industry.
Any advice or similar experience?

We have only limited employees (like less than 10 in 5 different offices) coming in and have already seen 5 breakthrough cases.
There’s no perfect data here, but UK/Israel report that the best vaccines (Pfizer or moderna) are 60-80% effective at stopping infection of delta variant. And 85-95% effective at stopping hospitalization. And 95-98% effective at stopping death. And that’s for vaccinated people - you can get infected and then infect others who are unvaccinated including children. This risk is not worth the advantages of coming into an office from time to time. Or if you must, wear a mask still while we are raging into our 4th wave of such high community spread.
The vaccine lower effectiveness against delta won’t be such a big deal when the level of community spread is super low - those are two factors that always should be calculated when talking about risk. In isolation neither of them mean anything.
No, I don’t. While the effects on the unvaccinated are substantial, the reports are that vaccinated people are only getting mildly ill with delta. Only 3% of hospitalized COVID patients including the delta variant are vaccinated individuals. The answer isn’t another lockdown (with economic consequences) it’s vaccinations. That’s why you saw stronger government pushes yesterday in the requirement of vaccination for some affiliated employees.
