Does anyone have experience having a full time job and doing contract work during busy season? I just left public with a year experience as a senior to go to in house and I’m trying to see how I can make some more money. Do firms let you work part time, like 20 hours a week?

Any full time job wont allow this.

No one will "allow" it. And it will most likely wreck you physically and mentally if you try. The best way to make more money is to job hunt until you get a higher paying job. If you aren't a CPA, get that.

Someone did this while I was at big 4. They were a senior associate. Could never find them during busy season, work was crap and always late. Firm figured it out real quick and both places fired them.

I’m a Junior at Colgate University and have been heavily searching for a summer 2022 internship since October of 2021.
