Does anyone’s company offer mental health days or are you expected to come in no matter how you’re feeling mentally?

Yes absolutely 💯 Mental days are a must and not frowned upon at the Department of Veterans Affairs

Sad that my first reaction to this post was to sarcastically laugh in my head... We all know how vital mental health is for anyone to function at their best, but it seems like more and more companies (retail specifically in my experience) don't even offer sick days, just PTO or "you can leave if you can find someone to cover you for the rest of the day, and you'll lose those hours for the end of your shift unless you want to use up more of your limited vacation time" etc

It's crazy how so many advertisements and emails are sent to "take care of yourself, we appreciate all of our hard workers", yet no one has the flexibility to call-off easily for stress/minor illness/injury (ie. not having to see a doctor or hospital) without it adversely affecting management's "opinion" of you.

like

No I was told by my supervisor that I am not allowed any unscheduled days off unless it is a death or hospital and they were serious!! The Board made lunch breaks mandatory and they are having a fit!! They really don't care about healthcare for the customers if they think a stressed out hungry exhausted pharmacist can be good for the consumers.

So...seems like shut downs are headed our ways. Why are schools requiring us to come in? I worked for multiple teachers last shut down, and honestly went above and beyond any other para in our building. I have three kids ages 8-11. This will put me under a tremendous hardship if I have to go to work everyday and find a sitter. Not to mention- when I brought this to my principals attention he said I might have to take Covid leave. Covid leave only lasts so long- correct? The. What do I do?

Need a serious suggestions.
I've joined recently as Analyst and working from home( Bengal)..I really don't want to go right now, I don't have much saving tbh and I've a family issues right now and I think if I leave this time my family will be separated..going through a mental pressure..my training period is not over yet.I'm not sure whether analyst people have to go now or not but is there any way I can convince them to stay here atleast this year or is there any other way idk plz sugst

I just started meds yesterday and the change in my focus and attention to detail is mind blowing. My only concern is, just yesterday I had a tough feedback session with my manager around how I’m taking too long to complete my work, giving them anxiety around close deadlines. I’m new in the job (3 months in). Should I explain anything about my adhd to my manager or just wait for them to notice the change in me?

First trimester insomnia?
I’m only about 5 weeks, but my sleep schedule has gone off the rail the last three nights. I’m sleepy/drowsy, settled in bed around the same time every night, and yet I cannot fall or stay asleep. I have a white noise machine, comfy bed, cool room.. etc. When I do fall asleep, it’s earlier in the morning and I sleep until 1/1:30pm. This was fine the first few nights since it was the weekend, but it can’t keep up. Anyone else experience this and have any recommendations?

When, or if you set time aside to take care of yourself or do something for yourself, what do you do? Faced this weird behaviour from Optum recently. Gave interview for Data Scientist position. HR said feedback is positive. Asked for documents. It's been month now since I have shared the documents. I have no update on the offer. Today I called HR, she called me back saying the position is on hold due to recalibration in team, She has shared interview feedbacks to other teams and will get back to me in couple of days. I am clueless now. My last working day is approaching (In a month). Any Help??
