Which agencies are going through layoffs
Hi everyone! Does anyone in here work for Omada Health ? I have an interview next Wednesday for a PT Member Support Agent role and am unclear on what the pay could be. Glassdoor has the pay estimate at 42k-48k, but I found a comment where someone in the same role mentioned only getting paid $12/hr. I have 8 years of experience as a CSR but I’ve had a couple year gap in between now and my last job. TIA Any advice helps .
I joined KGS in feb 2022, we recently got a mail regarding timeline of appraisal and bonus payout from the partner. My reporting manager hasn't yet reached out to me regarding goal setting, not sure if that happens here. Can you pls help me to know what all things we need to do from our end for the appraisal cycle and bonus payout? Since I'm new to this company KPMG KPMG India

Not unethical. Milk them for all it’s worth
Many people work multiple jobs. If working a second job doesn't violate any of your signed agreements with the company and you still do whatever they require of you to meet your current job then why not...
You're overthinking it. They f'd you. Take them for what you can. Find a new job. Learn the lesson.
Hopefully you’re not at EY or that half bonus will buy you a tank of gas
I’d say it’s fine unless your new employer prohibits having any other jobs
Why would it be unethical? You’re fulfilling the obligations for both firms
Why are you looking to create more work for everyone? Sounds like a tough situation all around. And you already had the discussion with your boss. I would just look for another job, line it up and start at a time that is convenient for you and the new company. The current company will pay you as agreed and everyone is happy. The overlap in this case will be 1-2 months? No one will have an issue.
the next 3 months are to be used for “transition.” I completed transitioning already, took less than 3 weeks. Head of my team said the whole team can “work from home and no need to come into the office.” Now I’m pretty much full time job hunting. If I receive an offer from somewhere else and quit before the 3 months are up, I get no severance. Asked the head of my group casually if he wanted a two weeks notice if I get an offer elsewhere, or is less of a notice is fine. He told me he doesn’t know why I would quit before my severance date and I can technically stay employed at current company and just keep up with any “transition work” even if I have a new job elsewhere. He also said there’s nothing that says in policies I can’t have another job while employed at current company. So essentially it would be two paychecks for a few months, plus the severance I’d get at the end. Some background: I started at the company, and 4 weeks later got this notification, so I was brand new and they laid me off so they screwed me pretty bad. I don’t want to be unethical, so wondering what others think?
Your boss told you to go for it. Sounds like they feel for you, and are trying to help you out. I wouldn’t do this personally without an OK from someone at the company but yo have that. Just keep it between the two of you, don’t violate their trust, and go for it.
They did not screw you over. You worked there for four weeks and are getting four weeks severance and 6 months target bonus. This is a really good severance package for a short tenure.
My advice is to talk to legal and HR about an accelerated severance and termination. If your manager agrees that your transition work is done and there's nothing left for you to do, then it's in their best interest to accelerate the process. You should make sure time this conversation right so that you can connect the two jobs together. Paycheck isn't as important as continuation of benefits coverage.
Feel free to PM if you want to chat more. I deal with this a lot.
Just make sure to get it in writing. Wouldn't rely on verbal confirmation that this is within policy unless you can find it in the policy or termination paperwork.
I wouldn’t reach out to HR or anyone else until you have another offer. Wouldn’t want to get let go before the end of the three months and have nothing to show for it
Follow the rules. Don’t worry about ethical or not. They would have built that into the “rule” if they were so concerned
Some more context: the place that laid me off is not a consulting company, it’s a subsidiary business unit of a fortune 50 company. 30+ people were laid off, including my entire group and the leaders in that group
It’s generous they gave you advance notice and there’s nothing unethical about it. If you do get an offer, try to negotiate with your next firm either a delayed start date or explain your severance clause - ask if your next firm will honor that as a sign on. Your current employer seems more than reasonable and the amount may not be material.
Respect for your boss, having your back
Yea the employee agreements are the real concern, many prohibit multiple jobs. Ideal would be starting something new right after your clock runs out so you coast while recruiting then collect the severance while not actually being unemployed for much time
Get two paychecks.
Negotiate with your new job to either start after the time or ask if they can cover your forfeited severance as a signing bonus.
