Says to hourly employees!

I know this is small dollars, but my firm only pays $25 per months for my cell phone. We all work remotely, so using cell a lot. Is it silly for me to push for full reimbursement? Is that pretty standard?

Does anyone feel burned out from healthcare from this past year? I straddle tech trans and do procurement/manage the research department of a health system. My wife is in sales at Mercedes and she has been averaging $200k a year and growing YoY. She loves her job, however she works long days and barely gets time off. We plan on having kids within the next year or two, and it’s highly u likely that she’ll be able to keep her current gig. We want to find a career that allows her to work remote or that at least gives her a better work life balance so that she can see her kids grow up. Should she get certifications to give her a shot at adtech?Too late?

My manager micro manages everything I do, and I’m losing my mind. Wanted to see how any of you have handled a manager like this, and get some advice on how to tell them to literally stop.

So I had 3 deals scheduled to either close end of May or mid June which were all pushed to end of June/beginning of July. Which is when I have my first vacation planned for over a year (I take 0 time off). My whole family is flying up and we’re renting a cabin near me. What do I do? I’m running one of the deals, semi running the other one and not doing much leading on the other one. Note: I was supposed to not be running any of these. Do I find a back up first or tell the partners first?

I am so beyond ready to leave my current job, but can’t yet, since bonuses are paid out in January. 😬

In the meantime, I’ve applied to a lot of similar roles (slightly higher) but have not heard - good or bad - from any. Is it common for companies to slow down hiring in December because of Q4 rush, people on holiday, etc.?

What is the advice on what feedback to leave for a peer who really sucks at everything y'all have worked together on?
