Not that I'm aware of. Education expenses that are reimbursed are considered compensation and not business expenses. And your bonus from EY would just be a bonus anyway.

SM1, that's really helpful of you. Maybe OP is in advisory and doesn't know anybody in tax, especially because they started they are new to the firm.
What does Ey cover in terms of tuition?
No. It's comp. Often though, firms will 'gross up' the amount to cover the tax hit. You may also be able to deduct what you had to pay back. That would help level you out.
If the money went to pay back your old employer, couldn't deduct that from income? Which would net out with the "bonus" from EY?
Net-net, you shouldn't be paying any additional taxes as if that was a bonus
Not sure you can get SS and MC back. Might be in a higher bracket now though.
