Fairly recently divorced and feeling the financial pinch of having one income. Unfortunately my salary is not in the 6 figures. I am afraid I need a second job (part-time). Is anyone else in a similar situation? What part-time job did you find or recommend?

Where do you work? As a manager in consulting I would expect you to have a 6 figure income and growing.

Tough to have a 2nd job and most firms frown upon it if not having policy.

Good luck with everything!

Unfortunately, my salary is stagnant. I am not directly in consulting but more operations so my salary is not as high.

Divorced and can relate with one income . Need more details to opine more tho

Would agree if you are a manager you should be in six-figures. I would say cut back on spending. It is going to be hard to get a second job i this economy right now.

probably nothing you don't already know but housing is probably your biggest exp. and as a mngr...is your work week 45/50/55/ 60+ hrs/wk? side gigs like amzn driver may not be bad or laborer....figure out your money gap and try to back into opps that fit that.

My work week is 40-45 per week

I am a manager and I am not in 6 figures. I am not directly in consulting but I am in the operations support.

I won’t have any problem meeting my hourly so I’m starting to think I’m being underpaid. I’ve been reading on here that not meeting

Parents are deciding between moving to WVirginia vs Virginia at retirement to be closer to us based in fairfax (ideally be at 1 hour driving distance). They currently in the mid west but WVirginia appeals to them because of low taxes, low cost of living. We are also poc so appreciate some diversity.

What are some areas you would recommend both in Va and WV? What else should they consider prior to house hunting? Dad likes to garden/farm as well so looking for homes with large backyards. Tia!

Hi all, recently in touch by Spotify recruiter for a Sec Engineer position for remote EU and was told that range was 60-80 out of base salary and equity. Had 2 years of security experience out of my 4 years. Was also told that there is no bonus scheme or no sign in bonus 😕 Not sure how I feel about this tbh.

What do you think?

I have an offer to do some consulting for a company based out of the UK (I am in the US). The job would not go through a consulting company but would be directly with the company. I have not done any consulting before so I am not sure how it works, what I would need to set up (they mentioned that I would start a LLC and bill them directly, no idea how to do that), how to determine the tax implications of this, or what hourly rate I would expect. Can anyone offer advice?

Just turned 40 with 15 years of relevant industry experience, and my Big 4 employer brought me in at a level designed for 25 year-olds.
