For some people looking to get into ketosis for performance, but struggle with staying in it:
i recently worked with a research team investigating the effects of ketone esters (a drink). They are better than their alternative form (ketone salts usually cheaper and has contaminants). You take it about an hour before you workout or do your activity. Its good for endurance, cognitive function, and there is hints that it helps muscular endurance activity. (**I dont work for a supplement company).

I’ve heard doctors researching ketones say that exaggerates ketones can damage mitochondrial. It might be better to use MCT oil.

I have a Q that I worry is going to make me sound like a jerk, but want some opinions. I do strength training 2x/wk with a trainer who was assigned to me at a gym where I bought a pack of sessions. I don’t really consider myself “his” client bc the relationship is managed by the gym… but lately he keeps saying like “I can’t wait to see what my clients give me for Christmas” and I find it super awkward. I pay $150 per session for these workouts (cont’d in comments)…

Our 5 month old started daycare about 5 weeks ago. We’ve already had to keep her home for 2.5 of those 5 weeks due to catching various illnesses (croup, rsv, brinchiolitis, etc). Both my wife and I have been sick most of that time as well (gotten it from the baby). Wife is thinking we get a full time nanny for the next 4 months to help the baby build antibodies. I'm an RN of 7 years, experience as a coordinator, on committees and do all the things. But now I just don't want to go to work anymore. I have anxiety every morning over nothing, just having to go perform my job. I could do my job in my sleep so I'm just lost and confused. My body is clearly sending me messages to leave. But where do I go? I think I need to step out of patient care.

Ok, I’m gonna say this. Schools should open. Now hear me out. My wife is a family doctor, she is working insane hours, she is treating covid patients, and there is a lot of days when she has to stay at the hospital without coming home. My neighbour works in a local grocery store, so he has been at work since the Day 1 of lockdown. What is the advice on what feedback to leave for a peer who really sucks at everything y'all have worked together on? I’ve found it very hard to order with my team and still be keto with the places we decide on. What are some common substitutions or adjustments y’all make when ordering?
