I have been doing it mostly on sometimes off for 30 years
How long do you go off?
Have you got your cholesterol checked?
I learned quickly that strict Keto can be harmful if you’re eating too much cheese or meat. My cholesterol went through the roof! HOWEVER, I did lose 40 pounds in 3 months with strict Keto and gym for an hour, 3x a week.
But long term, I’ve realized carbs are not for me. I’ve learned the things that cause inflammation for me and the foods that are bad. Now aware of calories and calorie intake. It’s all about finding a balance for yourself.
Now I do generally low-carb all week and stick to my low carb options for bread like rye bread and I don’t drink my calories. Minimal processed foods. But I do try to eat more fruit now so I stick to natural sugars every once in awhile.
Personally keto long term wasn’t sustainable for me, but low carb was. What are you thinking about doing?
That’s interesting I didn’t know that!
Truly depends on your sensitivity to SFAs or carbs.
