Do you want to be a sales rep?
Exactly! The best way to resolve your dilemma is to ask yourself the question... what is that you want to do now and possibly for the rest of your life? Also... where your priorities are? Did you get into consulting just because of the paycheque? In this case moving into sales rep position should be a win for you on the premise that you get bigger paycheque.
Used to do sales and didn’t really enjoy it. Some people love it! if you like the idea of that being your career it’s a great way to make a living

I think it’s a good idea
I’ve worked at SAP and can vouch that they are a good company.
That said, they have large layoffs in the US often, even in good climates.
Do your research and know what you are signing up for.
Guarantee you that you won’t make 200k at SAP coming out as an SC.
Agree, and no way in hell would I join as an AE in this environment. Sales is the first positions to get cut
