McKinsey
D2 lmfao i don't work at mckinsey, i came to a fortune 30 company after b-school because it was covid back then and very few companies were hiring (i had 0 work experience). Need to figure out how to go to consulting now
I will warn you: i have not heard good things about their tech delivery side..both from clients and internal consultants.
Take it for what it is, I'm only a messenger.
Product role seems a lot more interesting at Meesho, you could use that experience to become a Product Manager if that’s what you’re interested in, of course will pay a lot as well. You could also exit into Analytics Manager role which also pays handsomely. I don’t know what you will do after being Solution Delivery Analyst. With the Meesho role, you can go into product side or you can do analytics/data science, both are lucrative careers.
- Culture wise, you should go for Bain & Co. over BCG/McKinsey/Meesho (not much idea about Deloitte/ZS).
- BCG/McKinsey/Bain fall into the consulting domain, so if you are looking to go into core consulting profiles in future, you should definitely prefer Bain.
- Being in Meesho myself, I can tell you that the culture here is taking a backseat. Work from anywhere has been discontinued mid year onwards + PIPs/worse performance ratings/delayed promotions are being seen as measures to passive layoffs. Micromanagement, complete politics, a** licking help you grow in the organisation over your actual deliverables and performance.
Overall if I would have been in your place, would have gone for Bain & Co. (having said that, you should research a bit on Deloitte/ZS).
Dude go wherever you get better package and switch if you don’t like work culture after a year. McKinsey has brand , but meesho will bring you ownership that’s not there in big firms. So both have pros and cons.
PS - many people have left McKinsey for meesho after gaining 1-2 year ex
What are the pay differences and benefits?
Hands down, McKinsey. Reason is very simple - Meesho abhi recently bana hai, but McKinsey baap hai
I think it says meesho is new and McKinsey is old
