you can literally just schedule a 1:1 to check in and ask her if everything is ok
the more nervous you are the more it’ll reflect on you to her especially since you’re new and the worse her impression of you will be
Ya I’d be honest and communicative to smooth over any vibes. Good thing is it’s largely repairable if any issue. Just let her know it’s on your mind and you want to succeed in the role blah blah..
Ya, it’s working with women, if I don’t have another female boss or client the rest of my life I’ll be happy. I started life with women and men are equal, 30 year long career has taught me otherwise, not even women enjoy working for other women.
Did it occur to you that the women you've worked with know your attitude towards them and hence working together has been difficult? You created your own situation Mr. Misogynist.
I was once on a call with a coworker who shared his screen and was shopping for men’s boxers. I think you’ll be fine!
LOL ok that made me feel better
I would imagine how big of a deal this is is dependent on who was in the meeting (bigger deal to be multitasking with personal stuff in front of a client than internal, though obviously not good either way) and what the nature of your personal stuff was.
Relax you’re not getting fired. Speak to your manager, take accountability and move on
Just chill; if manager is making a huge deal of that is because they have nothing to do with life and they are so empty…. Don’t let it get you down or affect, we are all humans and things happens. If you get fire because of that… you are just lucky of not being part anymore of such a toxic organization.
Thank you for the kindness. I understand. Hopefully she just doesn’t mention anything about it.
Managers have zero power. If they bring it to your partner they will look petty, if they don't you're in the clear.
Either way, worst case scenario you burn a bridge with one manager. Who cares.
Acting like they own the company is posturing. Managers have zero power in the hiring or firing of employees. Most partners don't even hold that power exclusively. They can make recommendations and continued performance can lead to dismissal, but unless you straight up offered sex to the client there is little more than posturing that your manager could do.
Been in the industry for 15 years. Seen this time to time. Never leads to anything more than some nerves for a couple days.
