Guys there’s this boot camp that I came across that trains people to get jobs in Top consulting firms and has a fee plan wherein you pay once you get placed. I just wanted to know if someone here has any experience with this ?

McKinsey & Company What is the typical career progression for an average to above average performer at McKinsey? Would be helpful to get context on title and comp progression from undergrad to EM level.
Mainly asking bc I heard the two main paths are 2 years as BA > EM or out with the rare promotion to ASC for those who started out of undergrad. But 2 years to manager seems pretty difficult and how would BCG/Bain compete with that? McKinsey & Company

Just go! :-) worst thing is you’ll get a flu like sickness. It’s just like flying in the winter mid flu season, which we all did. Our bodies need to start building an immunity!
Slalom 1- love the complete neglect for others. Even if it’s a low chance of getting others sick, don’t you want to take steps to help others? Wear a mask, wash hands, limit exposure? No one is saying be a hermit for your entire life but some pretty small steps can save a life. 100 lives may be insignificant to you, but each of them had a family, friends, loved ones. At least try to be empathetic

Do yourself a favor and read the actual study CDC used to make the mask decisions. You will quickly realize that you have nothing to worry about.
You have a better chance of dying in a plane crash on your way to Mexico than you do dying of covid after getting vaccinated.
Maybe if you were a parent you’d understand that DEATH isn’t the only negative repercussion.

Breakthrough cases happen, but are rare. Go on your vacation, travel smart - continue to take safety precautions. You’ll have to take a rapid test when you come back into the states also which, as someone said above, will help you understand if you’ll need to isolate so as not to spread. Otherwise, enjoy! I went to Mexico last November and the resort was virtually empty and almost everything was outside, it felt very very safe.

Yeah, SM1 this was as of July 31, 2021

100% go for it OP, don’t let fear hold you back. That said, be smart! Follow CDC guidelines, wash hands regularly, disinfect surfaces, and try to socially distance yourself from others. Enjoy your trip.
If you’re afraid to travel because you might get Covid then you’ll likely never travel again. Covid’s not going anywhere.
I’ve been to Mexico twice in the past 6 months, including Quintana Roo over New Years. It’s perfectly fine. If want to take various precautions then you’ll be able to without issue.
You're right covid isn't going anywhere and many other variants will come and go. Vaccines will also lose their effectiveness and you will probably have to take boosters for a while. Those that haven't been vax'd by now likely never will keeping this thing going for the foreseeable future.
I'm going to Vegas in a week. Yolo
We leave Sunday for a week! Not planning to do any of the nutty Cabo scene we normally would (e.g the office or mango deck or booze cruises) and are going to spend more time at the resort/pool/spa/maybe a private charter, etc and booked both outdoor farm-to-table restaurants multiple nights (flora farms & Tamarindos) vs our normal go-tos.
We are debating booking a trip for December just because of the rising cases right now and who knows what the situation will be…
Will likely be some great deals!
Data point only…..just got back from Cabo and had an awesome time!
Just got back from a week in PV. It honestly feels safer there (airport, planes, hotel common areas have mask mandates) and our hotel had free covid testing set up so it was really convenient. The lines at the airport and immigration are long, even with Global Entry, so go early!
Go if you’re both vaccinate. You could get some respirator masks (KN95, KF94) for when you’re in crowded areas in transit so you’re lowering your risk.
KF94 vs KN95?
I think your decision has to depend on what outcomes you're okay with because there are multiple possible outcomes.
1) You go because you don't think you'll get sick at all. And you don't! This is ideal and possible but the rate of that possibility has dropped due to delta variant.
2) You go knowing delta is highly transmissable and one or both of you get sick. It's tolerable, but then you have to quarantine (for real, not just social distance) there for 10 days before even being able to travel back.
3) You don't go because the possibility of either getting sick or either transmitting to others (and not knowing if they'll live, die, or have long term health impacts) is more important to you.
Just choose the risk level your can live with. If that involves going, then the least you could do after that should be quarantining until you get a clear PCR test (not rapid test which is significantly less accurate).
I went to Mexico twice. You’ll be okay
You will totally be fine in Mexico.
I have visited Mexico twice in luxury resorts with no issues.
