Has any company you’re interviewing for asked for proof of a competing offer letter? Not interviewing right now but was wondering how would you know if a candidate is lying about a higher offer

I am working as system engineer and have exposure/skills across multiple technologies ranging from Cloud, DBs, Linux - Ubuntu/Redhat, Windows- 7/8/9/2012/2016/2019, cisco Network switches/Routers, VDIs, Virtualization, L7 VPN technologies & end point security etc. Additionally i have sound knowledge of Cybersecurity,VAPTs etc & hold few good certificates.

I am actively applying for jobs in Delhi NCR location but not getting enough calls for interviews. Need suggestions please. YOE: 3

We Indians are so poor we can't think anything else except money. Whole Fishbowl is all about YOe and Salary. No one interested about if any company doing any innovation or not. B-Tech colleges put ads with Package and Campusing only. Almost 99% Indian YouTube thumbnail is like "5 lakh to 40 lakh", "Interview Experience in bracket 50Lpa" etc.. Hardly we can see Foreign Editorial things marked with Packages.

I recently did a job interview and I made it clear to the HR my expectation salary is 60k a year, non negotiable.
Today I got the job offer and they are offering me 54k. My current company is making me 50k with tons of benefits which is why I am asking for 60k.

Tough time getting past final step: I’ve been trying to make a career shift for 10 months now and continue to get rejected at the last step. Im confident in the value I can provide and do well at presenting it. However, once it’s comes down to me and 1-2 other candidates, I repeatedly have been turned down for the person who has more relevant experience as they’re a safer bet for the employer. So i have been fortunate that i have managed to go through my career without the need for a degree. I was lucky enough to have been hired by one of the worlds top consulting firms, worked with a whole lot of big clients and travelled a lot. It's gotten to the point where I am not even asked about the lack of a degree on my resume. Personally though, it bothers me.
