Has anyone heard of their holiday parties yet? EY Chicago's is on a Friday after work and no +1's this year. Wonder if it'll be a cash bar too 😂

We never get +1 for the holiday party in NYC. I guess since there's already 1000s of employees it makes sense.

They're not allowing guests? Wow

I wish I were joking, PWC 1. I know it sounds silly #firstworldproblems to complain about it, but the holiday party was a great event to show appreciation for employees and their spouses for what they do for the firm. My spouse puts up with a lot of shit because I work here.

For NYC office. We used to do town hall and holiday party reception together but now town hall is in the morning and and reception at night...

We're just having a "holiday lunch" catered into the office. Keep your tray of cold cuts, uncle Ernie. I'm good.

like

What? Are you serious about catered holiday lunch?? Outrageous

like

Houston just got our invites and have a +1, normal Friday night like in past.

like

Damn that's harsh

I believe at my office they are planning to not do a +1 either. Holy shit. It's the end of the world

My office still allows +1s ....for now.

We do ours on a Saturday and allowed plus ones.

I recently had an initial interview for a technical recruiter position. The guy on the phone stated that this is not a 9-5 job and long hours are expected. I proceed to ask how much PTO is offered and he said that is not recommend within the first 6 months of working and the harder you work the more PTO you receive. From that conversation, I saw instant red flags. Any thoughts?

Already heard WLB is better and the culture, but I feel like I’ve gotta find that out first hand. Protiviti

Advice & resources? My spouse and I are starting to make good money (ages 28 & 31, $105k & $70k) with $10k in savings (we were hit hard financially this year) and 2 car payments.

We live in a cheap apartment ($1.3k) that is sh*tty. Don’t quite have a down payment (especially not in ATX). Is it dumb to rent a house for a year at $3k/month while we save up again?

We both didn’t come from $ and are figuring out how to not be idiots 🙃 tbh we would prefer to rent forever but that feels dumb???

Hi All- I’m looking for a super simple time tracking platform to integrate with Asana for a team of 5. All we need it for is to see how much time is going into different projects that our department is managing. That’s it. No billing/invoicing/don’t care about time sheets, etc. We just need the ability to track and pull a report at the end of each month. Anyone have recommendations?
